Janine Wiedel has been working as a photojournalist for the past 35 years. As well as photographing for magazines/newspapers and book publishers, she has also undertaken self initiated long term projects which become articles, exhibitions and published books. Published Books: “Irish Tinkers” (St Martin’s Press), “Looking at Iran” (A&C Black), “Vulcan’s Forge” (Archetype), “Classroom Observation (Methuen Press), “Faces with Voices” (Castell), “Dover, Port in a Storm (Cross Channel Photographic mission).
For the past 3 years, Janine’s own projects have included in-depth studies of: Occupants and final demolition St Agnes Place Squat in South London and the Rastafarian community based in St Agnes Place
