Cher Permaul studied Applied Arts at the University of Derby, City & Guilds in Photography and NCTJ and NCE Press Photography at Sheffield College. Cher has worked as senior press photographer for the Gloucestershire Echo and as a freelance press photographer since May 2006. In 2006, Cher was shortlisted for the news photographer of the year in the Midlands Media Awards.
