Eleanor Bentall originally trained as a journalist in New Zealand and then switched to editorial photography when working on the Otago Daily Times in New Zealand. Eleanor moved to England and did the Newport Documentary Photography course in 1988-89 and then worked as a picture researcher at Magnum Photos for three years before launching as a freelance photographer. Since then she as spent 10 years as a freelance and contract photographer for the Daily Telegraph. After two years in the United States she is now back in London working freelance for the Daily Telegraph and a number of other publications. Eleanor currently syndicates her work through Camera Press and Corbis.
