Simon began working in photography as a community darkroom worker in Bristol and also did theatre and music photography. Simon undertook a City and Guilds course in Professional Photography, followed by a post- graduate diploma in Photojournalism at the Cardiff University Journalism school.
As a freelance photographer based in Bristol, Simon has worked for the Big Issue magazine and the Bristol Evening Post. He continues to work for the local and regional press, and also to do PR photography for businesses, charities and trade unions, and bands in concert and music festivals through LIVE Photography for national publications.
