• Zimbabweans in South Africa by Felipe Trueba Garcia

A Zimbabwean tries to sleep in a overcrowded floor of the Methodist Church of South Africa in downtown Johannesburg, South Africa, 28 November 2007. Every night the church, run by bishop Paul Verryn, offers shelter to around 1,500 refugees mainly from Zimbabwe. Besides a place to sleep, the church also provides daily activities, education and basic medical assistance. The refugees have to take care of themselves because the South African government is not recognizing them as such.

Felipe Trueba Garcia is a Spanish freelance press photographer who has been based in London for the last 3 years, collaborating with news agencies like Spanish EFE and EPA. He also works on features and freelance projects.
